Receiving welcome mail multiple times

Overview

As soon as someone signs up with your internal domain you get the welcome mail multiple times when expecting to get it only once.
If you use a *hotmail.com, *gmail.com domains this does not happen.

Information

If your mail server has any kind of security/spam filtering software (like Proofpoint tool) that checks the links before it reaches the end-user, then it will affect the number of clicks, that's why you will receive multiple confirmation emails.

  1. To investigate, the agent can request an example of the email address for which this happened, and an email list if it was not specified by the client.
  2. Check times clicked in a Clickthru History table.
    1. Open email list in EmailLabs under admin account.
    2. Click the View Member Profile  button for the member email provided by the customer.
    3. You will find Clickthru History in the View Records menu: mceclip0.png

      If Times Clicked value is more than 1, then the link was clicked more than once, that's why the customer receives more than 1 welcome email.
